Matt's PCT Trip

Matt's PCT Trip

Introduction

Thanks for following my PCT journey.

This Summer 2025, I hiked about 450 miles over 26 days finishing both Washington and Oregon, along with hiking some 170 miles into California. The trip was broken into two parts: PCT OR section C → CA section P from HWY 138, OR to Etna, CA and PCT WA sections K & L from Walker Pass, CA to Kennedy Meadows, CA.

My PCT journey started back in 2023 southbound on sections J→F from Stevens Pass, WA to McKenzie Pass, OR in about 30 days. Forest fires thwarted my original plan of hiking the entirety of Washington State, so I had to circle back and finish in 2025. Starting August 21st 2023, I hiked 515 miles through PCT sections J→F.

Last July 2024, I also hiked 143 miles on PCT sections E→D from McKenzie Pass to Cascade Crest.
